I'm looking for a product on your website, but I can't find it. Can you help me?
Our website includes hundreds of our products and we're constantly adding to this once we get new products. If you can't see the product you're looking for, it may be new and we haven't had chance to upload it yet, or if it's old we may no longer stock it. Contact our customer services for help.
Where can I find technical information on a product?
If you visit our 'Downloads' section, this includes everything you need to know about our products. We've included brochures, manuals and even application videos.
I'm looking for accessories for my product. Where can I find these?
If you click on your product page, within the 'related products' section, we've included all of the accessories you can get for that particular product.
I have a fault with my product. How do I get this repaired?
Machines: If your machine is with within warranty please contact customer service who will be happy to help you arrange collection of your machine and arrange to have the machine repaired and returned to you. If the machine is out of warranty please return the machine to us with your contact details so customer service can contact you with the cost of quote / repair.
Where can I purchase a Marcrist product?
At the moment we've listed three of our biggest dealers within our 'Dealers' section. If you still can't find your product or a local branch, give our customer services desk a call and we'll see if there's another dealer within your area who can help.
What products can I service?
We have no items which can be serviced by an individual. Servicing on machines must be completed by Marcrist. When the machine is in its warranty period.
What products do I get a guarantee with?
Machines:   DDM1 -12 months from date of purchase. DDM3- DDM4 18 months from date of purchase. All other machines 12 months – from date of purchase.   Consumable items: See our T&Cs. Also, 850,750,350 items have the Marcrist Guarantee.
My machine is damaged, how do I get this repaired?
Machines: If your machine is with within warranty please contact customer service who will be happy to help you arrange collection of your machine and arrange to have the machine repaired and returned to you. If the machine is out of warranty please return the machine to us with your contact details so customer service can contact you with the cost of quote / repair.
Can a worn down wheel be used on a smaller machine?
No, worn down discs can't be used on a smaller machine. This is due to the smaller machine having a higher RPM than what's stated on the disc. If a disc is mounted it may burst and cause injury or death.
Can an abrasive be used wet?
Yes, abrasive discs can be used wet if the disc permits water use and the machine can be used with water. However, all Marcrist abrasive discs are dry use only.
Can abrasive discs be use used without a guard?
Only discs with a diameter of 55mm can be used without a guard. All discs greater than 55mm must be guarded. All of Marcrist abrasive discs are above 55m, so must always be guarded.
Can an abrasive disc be used if the expiry date has passed?
Once the expiry date has passed the disc must not be used and it must be disposed of safely.
Can a cutting disc be used for grinding?
Only discs which are specified that they can be used for grinding, may be used for a grinding application.
Can your special metal cutting disc for saws (5006.0300.20) be used at 100m/s?
This disc is rated at 100m/s, this is marked on the steel ring with a green band.
What materials can your multi material slitting disc cut?
Metal, steel, aluminium, ceramic tiles, PVC, stone.
What does AkkuMAX mean? What are AkkuMAX blades?
Akku is German for battery. AkkuMAX blades are the WORLD'S FIRST diamond blades especially developed to work on cordless angle grinders. They improve the battery life of your cordless angel grinders dramatically – hence the name AkkuMAX. For more information take a look at our Akkumax products.
Is AkkuMAX a normal diamond blade?
AkkuMAX blades are super thin diamond blades; produced to have absolute minimal friction but to still adhere to all safety standards. take a look at our Akkumaxproducts
What are the advantages of an AkkuMAX blade to a conventional diamond blade?
AkkuMAX blades are purposely designed to work for cordless machines, they'll:
  • Improve the battery life of your cordless angle grinder
  • Increase the cutting speed of your cordless angle grinder
  • Dramatically improve the total number of cuts that you can do pro battery charge because of longer battery life and less time per cut
  • Give you an absolute clean cut with maximal precision
  • Reduce the dust and debris
How much faster will the AkkuMAX blade cut on a cordless angle grinder?
This depends on the blade, your grinder and the material you're cutting. On average, the AkkuMAX blade will cut approx. 50% faster than a conventional top quality blade on a cordless grinder.
How much longer will the battery of my cordless grinder last with an AkkuMAX blade?
This depends on the blade, your grinder and the material you are cutting. On average, the AkkuMAX blade will double the battery life of your cordless grinder.
